Services Of A Notified Body (NoBo) – No 2221
Notified Body Surveillance Framework
“Notification” is the act whereby an EU Member State informs the Commission and the other Member States that a body, which has been inspected and ultimately meets the relevant requirements, has been formally designated to carry out conformity assessments in accordance with Community provisions. Notification of bodies and their cancellation and deletion are the responsibility of the Member State carrying out the notification procedure.
The Member States of the EU, the EFTA countries (members of the EEA) and other countries with which the European Commission has concluded Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) and Protocols to the European Agreements on Conformity Assessment and Acceptance of Industrial Products (PECAs) have identified lists of Notified Bodies, based on the relevant Directive.
Details and lists of Notified Bodies can be found on the NANDO website. The lists are systematically updated and include the mandatory identification number of each Notified Body, as well as the relevant controls for which it has been approved and notified.
Swiss Approval is a Notified Body, with a unique identification number of 2221.
